AHHH -now here’s a question that’s sure to generate some interest:
“Does Masturbation Effect Lucid Dreams?”
The timing of receiving such a question couldn’t be more perfect! I’d been wanting to talk about masturbation and lucid dreaming but felt somewhat at odds with the right way to bring it up. I’m going to use this as an opportunity to mention an experiment . . . → Read More: Does Masturbation Effect Lucid Dreams?

I’ve been testing out a a lucid dreaming training technique with my Sirius Sound and Light Machine, and so far, the results are fascinating me.
If you’re unfamiliar with a Sound and Light Machine – also informally called a Mind Machine – it’s a device that combines binaural beats & brainwave entrainment, pumped into your ears via headphones, and pulsating colorful, psychedelic lights, shadowed over your closed eyelids with a pair of glasses containing multiple LED on each lense.
The idea behind Mind Machines is to induce a certain brainwave state associated with a desired goal.

Hey everybody! I’m back from my trip to Belarus!
My wife and I made it home safe after a grueling 24 hours of security checkpoints, layovers, and 3 flights covering many thousands of miles.
The flights themselves offered one brilliant experience: that of watching the world that exists up in the sky, there in between the cities of clouds. The landscapes created by clouds was utterly beautiful and surreal and reminded me of a dream. I made a mental note to myself to come back to this wonderful world in a lucid dream and fly through all this beauty.

What is a Lucid Dream?
“A lucid dream is a dream in which the person is aware that he or she is dreaming while the dream is in progress. During lucid dreams, it is often possible to exert conscious control over the dream characters and environment, as well as to perform otherwise physically impossible feats.” (wikipedia)
Have you ever wanted to lucid dream? Maybe you’ve always been curious but didn’t know where to start? Maybe you’ve done it before but are having a hard time getting back into it?
Whatever your situation, if you’d like to have a lucid dream, the time to . . . → Read More: 12 Free Software Programs for Lucid Dreaming: Train Your Mind To Have a Lucid Dream!

“What if you had the chance to do anything you wanted? What if right now, you could levitate out of your chair, and soar out the window and up into the clouds, observing every creation of your mind? What if you could live your ultimate dream like getting together with that crush, or becoming an actor/actress? What if I were to tell you that there was a way to do this every single night for the rest of your life?”

2 weeks have passed and I’ve had a few interesting experiences and observations since I proclaimed I would practice MILD every night. (Disclaimer: I admit, I didn’t do it every night, but almost!)
One effect I noticed is that heavily focusing on having a lucid dream can be a trying ordeal. You can’t push yourself too hard; the subconscious seems to reflect this by pulling back and not giving you want you consciously aim for. Some nights I had no dreams (which is very rare for me) and one dream seemed to be a mockery of my intent to have lucid dreams! . . . → Read More: Update: Lucid Dreaming in 2 Weeks: a MILD Technique Experiment

For the next 14 nights, I’m going to diligently practice the MILD technique to induce lucid dreaming.
If you’re not familiar with this technique, check out this link for an excellent concise explanation.
I did this last night and while I didn’t become lucid, I did succeed in taking one dream and making it (seemingly) last all night. Not exactly great since it wasn’t a particularly pleasant dream, but it shows the fact that intent has great effect.
I am endlessly awed by the study of dreams and the mind, the philosophical implications, etc. and have spent most of my time in pursuit . . . → Read More: Lucid Dreaming in 2 Weeks: a MILD Technique Experiment
