Lucid Dream Token reality test: This is a Dream.

30 Dec

this is a dream! Dream Tokens take the concept of a reality test and put it on a beautiful golden coin.

One side reads “This Is A Dream” and the other side has an image of an open palm, suggesting that you do a reality test by looking at your hands.

This is a very neat little item. When mine came in the mail it looked so shiny and beautiful I wanted to just leave it in the packaging.

Check it out:

I do have some suggestions for improvement:

1) Change the text from “This is a Dream” to “Is this a dream?” For me personally this small change means a big improvement in reality testing.

2) Put a small hole through the top of the coin which would enable it to be placed onto a necklace. I’m much more likely to use the token as intended if I don’t have to get it out of my pocket. (Not to mention I’m a bit scared I’ll eventually lose it.)

These things rock! I got mine today. It’s about time people started making some lucid dreaming stuff! Practical and just plain nifty.

Yea they are really cool and it’s nice to see products for lucid dreamers coming out, especially non-digital information ones (i.e. we don’t need another e-book do we??)

Enjoy the shininess of your new token!! Mines kinda ugly looking now after being in my pocket/wallet for so long.

Yeah, mine’s more brown now too. I kind of like it more now though. It looks more real, like it’s not some cheap carnival token, and is more like something that matters. Although, by that same view, it could just look like an old, worn out circus token.

On another note, I agree with you on there choice of text.”this is a dream” sort of desensitizes you to reality checking if you’re expecting to see that. If it was just a gentle reminder that this might not be reality, it would be much better.

And yes, more swag for dreamers!

I’m curious to know if you’re able to really get good use of the token for reality testing purposes. Honestly, even though I love mine cuz it’s just a nifty little toy-lookie thingie for lucid dreamers, I really never use it for reality testing.

I fear if it just sits in my pocket I’ll lose it so I put it inside my wallet and this results in me never seeing it!!
