Did you know Stephen LaBerge has a patent on substances that cause Lucid Dreaming?

I found something really wild tonight.

I guess it’s old news since the patent is from 2003, but I see that Stephen LaBerge, the most famous lucid dream researcher and lucid dream author in the world, has a patent on “substances that enhance recall and lucidity during dreaming.”

Patent number 20040266659, to be exact.

Dreaming about Stephen LaBerge: How Ironic!

It always cracks me up when I have dreams where the subject of Lucid Dreaming is staring at me in the face and yet it never occurs to me to question my reality and see if I am indeed in the middle of a dream.

This happened a few nights ago when I dreamt of dream researcher Stephen LaBerge, possibly the most famous lucid dreamer ever.

Exploring the Oneiroverse with Chad Watts: On Lucid Dreams, Entheogens, and the Spiritual Experience

When I first started blogging, I naturally sought out other blogs on lucid dreaming. One of the most unique blogs out there was called Exploring the Oneiroverse, the contents of which were based on a book by fellow blogger and lucid dreamer Chad Watts.

Soon enough, we started writing emails back and forth discussing dreams and lucid dreaming, drugs, metaphysics, and so forth for a few weeks. I found his perspective so interesting that I asked for a more formal interview, which is what follows below. Enjoy.
